Fukuoka Ajusshi’s Tanaka B-saku: Katsu Curry or Yaki Ramen in Tenjin?
Choosing between curry rice and noodles near Tenjin? Fukuoka Ajusshi's video visits Machimeshi Tanaka B-saku (町飯 タナカB作) in Imaizumi. He tried several dishes with companions, including katsu curry and yaki ramen. The useful distinction is between a plate of rich curry and a stir-fried noodle dish—not two versions of soup ramen.

What kind of place appears in the video?
The July 11 video introduced the restaurant as a recent opening at that time. It showed counter seating, a menu with food photographs and tablets used to order from the seat. The creator thought the layout could work for a solo meal, although the filmed visit involved sharing several dishes with other people.
Curry, fried noodles, okonomiyaki and karaage appeared in the meal. That variety may help when companions want different kinds of Japanese comfort food. It does not mean the whole filmed order was intended as one person's meal.
Why did he like the katsu curry?
The curry arrived on a large plate with rice and a cutlet. He described a dark, thick, European-style curry and liked its savoury flavour with the katsu. Among the dishes he tried, the katsu curry stood out positively in his comments.
The photograph used here is the curry plate shown around 3:15 in the footage. The checked scene did not establish it as a specially ordered extra-large serving, so this guide does not label it a double portion or promise an upgrade.
Yaki ramen is a stir-fried option
Yaki ramen is the noodle choice shown being stir-fried with vegetables and other ingredients, rather than served as a bowl of broth. Fukuoka Ajusshi described it as richer and more savoury than ordinary ramen to him and recommended it in the video.
If your decision is between the two filmed dishes, the curry offers rice, a cutlet and a substantial sauce; the yaki ramen offers stir-fried noodles and vegetables. Those descriptions are more useful than calling one universally better. The creator's preference is a reaction to his meal, not our own tasting result.
Use the July prices as a dated budget example
The tax-inclusive prices visible in the July 2026 menu were ¥1,380 for katsu curry, ¥980 for yaki ramen and ¥880 for yakisoba. One curry and one yaki ramen would therefore have cost ¥2,360 for food at that time. The sources reviewed here do not establish that those figures remain unchanged for your trip.
The footage also showed an opening-period drinks promotion. It is not listed here as a current offer. Likewise, a rice-service notice was limited to weekday lunch, from opening until 15:00. Do not interpret that as free rice every day at every hour; check the current tablet menu and conditions before ordering.
Location and opening-hour record
The recorded address is 1F, 1-11-7 Imaizumi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka (福岡県福岡市中央区今泉1丁目11-7 1階), and the listed telephone number is +81-92-980-6518.
The Google Maps information checked on October 20, 2026 showed 11:00–22:00 on Monday and Wednesday through Sunday, with Tuesday closed. That later listing differed from the filming-time hours. This guide keeps the dates separate instead of combining them into one supposedly permanent schedule.
Use the map link for the exact destination and recheck opening notices on the day you visit. The original video is useful for seeing the counter, ordering setup and dishes before choosing what to eat.
