HOSHI BOYFRIEND: Release Date, Songwriting Credits and Where to Start

HOSHI’s “BOYFRIEND” is a solo release, so searching only the SEVENTEEN group discography can make the latest track easy to miss. Here are the confirmed release details and the names behind the song.

When was BOYFRIEND released?

PLEDIS announced the digital release for October 10, 2026 at 6 p.m. KST. Melon lists it as a one-track single by HOSHI, with PLEDIS Entertainment as the agency and YG PLUS as distributor. It is already released, rather than an upcoming album preorder.

The credits name HOSHI, Jin Jeon and Heon Seo as lyricists. Composition is credited to Jin Jeon, Heon Seo, Hey Farmer, Lee Beom-hun, LUKE and jakgokga; Hey Farmer and Lee Beom-hun are credited for arrangement.

The official album description characterizes the track as R&B-based pop with a shuffle groove and synth sounds. HOSHI’s lyric participation is confirmed; the credits do not list him as the sole composer or producer.
