IU I-KE Ver.3: Blue Flashing Light, Button Modes and What to Check Before Buying
A blue flashing light on IU's I-KE Ver.3 can mean application mode, not a broken light stick. The official made EDAM product table distinguishes a long press, a short press and a double-click. Understanding those three actions is more useful than randomly pressing the button.
This guide follows the manufacturer's published Ver.3 instructions. It also separates the product specification from current availability: the Korean storefront showed a disabled purchase button when checked on October 29, 2026.
IU in concert
The photograph shows IU at the HEREH World Tour concert in Rosemont on July 25, 2024. It provides the live-performance context; it does not demonstrate the light stick's controls or announce a new concert.

Which button action do you need?
Power: hold the button for about three seconds to turn the device on or off. A quick tap is a different command, so repeated short presses are not the documented power-off method.
Normal mode: with the power on, press briefly to move through the eight color modes described by the manufacturer.
Application mode: double-click while powered on. The blue light flashes to indicate that mode. Double-click again to return to normal mode. The product table explicitly notes that color changes not working in application mode do not by themselves indicate a defect.

Check the version before planning concert use
The official notice says concert pairing is supported from Ver.3 and that Ver.2 and earlier cannot be paired. A light stick lighting up at home is therefore different from being compatible with an organized concert's wireless effects.
For event-specific setup, follow the current organizer notice and the IU I-KE app manual linked from made EDAM. Do not copy another group's app instructions or assume an older concert procedure applies to your ticket.
Batteries and package contents
The power specification is three AAA alkaline batteries. The listed package contents are the light stick, strap, user's guide and one of two randomly delivered packages featuring IU's handwriting. The two package designs are not two light sticks in one order.
The specification lists four hours of operation. Treat this as a manufacturer's stated figure, not a guarantee for every battery condition or operating mode. Confirm your batteries and the event's preparation guidance before leaving.
Price displayed does not mean stock available
The Korean listing displayed ₩42,000 and a disabled purchase button at the time of checking. It also states that purchase requires login and limits cumulative purchases to five per ID. None of those details establish a restock date.
Recheck availability before arranging a gift or concert purchase. The store's ordinary delivery estimate is not a delivery promise for unavailable stock, and its shipping guidance says orders mixed with preorder items ship together when the preorder item is released.
If the device still behaves abnormally after you follow the correct mode instructions, use the official support channel. A button-mode explanation should not be treated as a diagnosis of every hardware fault.
Planning a wider K-pop trip?
Concert equipment and travel planning are separate tasks. If your itinerary also includes BTS THE CITY in Singapore, our published guide explains its December dates so you can compare them with your travel schedule.
